Textures

''The feel, appearance, or consistency of a surface or substance...''

Look around you and make a quick note of the the various textures you can see. Not many of them are likely to be the same. It can be smooth, rough, soft, hard, sharp, rugged, bumpy, tactile, coarse, the list goes on. These sensual differences are often taken for granted in the day to day of our busy lives, but almost every object or being possesses its own, unique coating, or texture.

With this in mind, I explored the streets of Kyiv over the course of a couple of weeks to observe and capture the wide variety of surface textures dotted on every street, in every courtyard, down every lane, at every corner, along every wall and on every facade to bring to life the diversity of these reposing creations.
